S – Scholarship Program

SSB has invested in several goodwill programs during the years in keeping with the GIVES philosophy; one of these programs is the SSB Scholarship Program. This program was established in 2001 to be a catalyst to propel successful applicants to the next level of scholastic achievement. Once realized, the key of academic success opens the door to opportunities that bring financial independence and a strengthening of our Belizean economy. We recognize that one of the ways to build Belize is to build its people.

Since 2001, over 1,000 students have successfully completed the scholarship program and are the proud recipients of a diploma, degree or vocational technical skills acquired from the various educational and vocational institutions in Belize. In 2023, we awarded 44 new scholarships and 100 Skills Training grants, and we will continue to honor the existing 114 scholarships that have been awarded from previous years.
